You Say "Kitchen," I say...
Recently I was teaching a group of children a lesson about rooms in a home. Most of them can read, but one is still learning so he was remembering by using the pictures. The first picture was a room with a bed in it: bedroom. The second was a room with a bath: bathroom. The third was a picture of a woman taking a turkey out of the oven. I asked him what it was. He thought for a moment and then got a big smile on his face, happy because he finally knew one. "Ah! The chicken room!"

hahaha! he is sooooo cute:)
that`s awesome!
and he`s not wrong...
Huh, you write this post as if he's wrong or something?!
I spend a lot of time in the chicken room. It is one of my favorite rooms.
There's also the computer room, the dining room, the laundry room, the car room, the TV room, the clothes room (or clothes sub-room since it is smaller), and lots of people have the more-formal-looking-furniture-that-nobody-uses-unless-company-comes room.
:-)
My new chicken room is bigger than the old one that you know, and chicken cabinets are all red.
I like it very much!
following this line of thinking i have: the multimedia/sofa room, the alcohol sub-room, the food, dishes and darts room, the clothes and toiletries room, the clothing sub-room, the shoe sub-room, the toilet room, the books and umbrellas room, the bed/desk/music/fitness machine room, and the the quick put it here so that the other rooms look presentable room.
junko, if your previous chicken room had been any smaller, you could have called it a chicken closet. or a chick room. or a chick closet. but it was sufficient to make chimichangas, so it was big enough. sometimes i wish my chicken room were smaller so i could use the extra space for something else. oh well.
anyway, let me know when you are coming to kansai next time!
Time for a new post, Hack -- I'm taking you out of the rotation until you email me that you've put something new up :-p
that is ADORABLE.
I have the
books/dishes/food/shoe/unpaidbills room, the bed/clothes/computer room and the toilet/newspaper room.
